  • Complete 2016 - 2017 registration
  • Pick up student schedules
  • Visit classrooms and meet teachers
  • Verify transportation information and get bus schedules
  • Receive new guidelines for parent and student access to Power School

SMS TransformSC Innovation Plan

Sandhills Middle seeks to partner with the TransformSC network of innovative schools through commitment to long-term innovation that will significantly increase the percentage of students who ultimately graduate college-, career-, and citizenship-ready.  

Our current TransformSC Innovation Plan focuses on implementation of project-based learning, personalized learning, and competency-based progression for all students over a three year period from 2015 - 2018.

  • (4) 1.5" three-ring binders (durable)
  • (4) Binder Dividers with tabs
  • (2) 100 sheet "Marble" composition notebooks for journals
  • (4) Folders with pockets & prongs 
  • Loose-leaf notebook paper (yearlong supply)
  • Pencils (yearlong supply)
  • Blue or black pens
  • Highlighters
  • Pencil Bag (CLEAR with holes to place in 3-ring binder)
  • Four-function calculator (Math)
Individual courses may have additional supply requests. 

Lexington 4 School Book Bag Policy

In accordance with Lexington 4 policy, students at Sandhills Middle School will place book bags in their lockers in the morning and cannot remove them until the end of the school day. 

Students will be able to visit lockers during designated locker times at the beginning of the day, at mid-day, and at the end of the day.  Students will be responsible for obtaining needed learning supplies during these locker breaks.

Lexington 4 recommends students use mesh or clear book bags.

Rolling book bags are prohibited.

Lexington Four Food Services Information

Lexington County District Four, Gaston-Swansea is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2014-2015 school year.   

  • All students enrolled in the school/district may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge to them.  
  • Families will not have to fill out meal applications.
